| Living Room: The dramatic stone
archway connects the foyer to the
living room. A vivid rug picks up the
colors in the archway. The window
overlooking the porch is 10 feet tall
by 5 feet wide, and the room is about
18 feet tall at its peak. |

| Family Room: stunning large window views and beautiful stone fireplace |

| Dining room: Antique barn wood was used to frame the doorway leading
into the dining room. Courtney purchased the handsome table and
chairs on a buying trip to North Carolina, and the chandelier was made
in England. A colorful kilim rug anchors and enlivens the room. |

| Kitchen: The Saldivars wanted the kitchen connected to the living room,
because they like to cook and entertain. The kitchen blends custom-built
knotty cherry cabinets with granite counters and a gleaming Viking stove |

| Bathroom: The Saldivars wanted to create a spa-like feel in the bathroom,
which includes a steam room. Mark designed the distinctive
curved element above the tub. Knotty cherry custom cabinetry, caramel
granite, and softly-hued concrete pavers lend to the serene mood. |

| Made of Stone:
Mark and Courtney worked in tandem with a mason to
design and install stone creations for the interior and
exterior living areas in their timber home. First, they
created the eye-catching living room fireplace, which is
flanked by two 9-foot-tall stone archways. One of the
archways connects the living room to the foyer, integrating
the two grand spaces. “It’s a way to blend the
two spaces,” explains Courtney. |
